Homemade garlic bread

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250 ml water, warm
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt + salt for seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil + 50 ml
  • 370g flour
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 5 stalks of parsley
  • 4 stalks of thyme
  • 90 g cheese, spicier, e.g. B. mountain cheese

PREPARATION:

Mix warm water with the sugar, dry yeast and 2 tablespoons of flour. Let stand for 15 minutes. Mix the flour and salt, add the yeast mixture and 1 tablespoon of oil and knead for 10 minutes to form a smooth dough. Lightly oil a bowl and let the dough rise, covered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour. The volume should double.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Peel garlic and chop finely. Wash and dry the parsley, cut off the hard stems and chop the rest finely. Pick off the thyme leaves. Rasp cheese. Mix all ingredients with 50 ml olive oil and season with salt.

Grease a springform pan and line the bottom with baking paper. Knead the dough briefly and form it into a roll. Cut slices about 6 cm wide. Gently mix the slices with the cheese mixture and place them in a ring in the baking pan. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes until golden brown.

Bon appetit!
