The  hob  is our ally when it comes to preparing our lunch and dinner. Too bad, though, that  cleaning it thoroughly afterwards is a nightmare .

Even more difficult is cleaning  all the components of the hob , including the  burners  which tend to get encrusted.

But you won’t have to fear anymore!  Today, in fact, we will see  how to clean encrusted hob burners  with these natural and homemade tricks.

The first remedy is to use  salt , which is able to  absorb the most stubborn dirt.  All you have to do is dissolve  1 glass of salt in a pan  with hot water , turn off the heat and then add the burners to the resulting mixture.

Then, cover with the lid and leave for a few hours before  removing the elements from the mixture without burning yourself . Finally, rinse them thoroughly and let them dry.

Vinegar

Another very effective remedy involves the use of vinegar  which boasts cleaning, degreasing and descaling properties. Then pour  1 cup of vinegar  into a  pan containing very hot water , then immerse the burners inside and leave them to soak  for at least 2 hours  with the lid on so as not to lose the heat.

Once the mixture has cooled,  remove the burners  and wipe with a sponge soaked in vinegar to remove the last residues. Finally,  let them dry carefully in the open air  and there will no longer be a trace of encrustations!

The  descaling power of vinegar , in fact, will be able to soften encrustations allowing you to remove them in the blink of an eye! It is no coincidence that this ingredient is a godsend  even for removing the most stubborn stains from toilet walls!

Citric acid

As an alternative to vinegar, you can also use citric acid by dissolving  150 grams of this powder in a pan containing 1 liter of hot water .

Then, soak the burners for about 2 hours, before  rinsing them and scrubbing with a sponge  to remove any stains still attached.  And that’s it!  As if that wasn’t enough, citric acid is  also capable of degreasing and polishing the hob!

Bicarbonate

After vinegar, citric acid and salt, how could the  well-known bicarbonate be missing?  With this ingredient, in fact, it is possible to create a  cream  capable of  thoroughly degreasing the most encrusted fires.

Then pour  a few tablespoons of bicarbonate  into a small bowl, then add the water gradually until you obtain a  thicker consistency , like that of a cream. At this point, apply it to your burners, scrub with an old  toothbrush  and leave to act for a while. Finally, rinse and voilà:  goodbye encrustations!

Yellow soap

Yellow soap is  an ingredient known since our grandmothers for its  ability to thoroughly degrease the hob  and remove all grease stains and encrustations. So why not use it on burners?

All you need to do is stick a small piece of yellow soap onto an  abrasive sponge  and then rub it  on all the burners , one at a time. If all the product dissolves and you are left with only the abrasive sponge, repeat the process! Leave it to act for a while, then rinse and…  your burners will be as good as new again!

Lemon

Finally, let’s see how to use  lemon,  the citrus fruit  also used to degrease kitchen tiles!

Simply pour the  juice and peels of a lemon into a pan  and add very hot water up to half. Then, add the burners and  leave to act for at least 3 hours.  Finally, rinse and dry them thoroughly.

Warnings

Remember to always let the burners dry well before reassembling them on the hob. In fact, if wet, they may not work well.
