Bleach corresponds to one of the most used chemical agents to disinfect, sanitize, but also to remedy a condition that has become problematic due to bad odors. In chemistry it is literally equivalent to the substance identified as sodium hypochlorite, which has a solvent action, certainly effective but also too aggressive in some contexts. Are there natural substitutes for bleach?

Definitely yes, and among the various forms of products such as delicate bleaching and the like, we can turn to natural products, perhaps less “powerful” immediately but certainly effective.

For example, regular baking soda has a natural stain-removing power and can certainly be used during laundry, both by hand and in the washing machine. In the latter case, it is enough to add half a cup of baking soda to the traditional supply of washing machine detergent, this will improve the performance of the detergent from a staining and whitening point of view, as well as reduce any “lingering” of bad odors. . Even more effective is sodium percarbonate,  which is often used today in various eco-friendly detergents and stain removers and which is particularly useful for reviving gray and yellowed clothes.

Vinegar, on the other hand, regardless of its origin (it can come from any form of fermentation) has a high stain-removing power from pans and other metal objects, as well as being a useful solution to restore shine to glasses that are now opaque. being a natural way to contrast with limestone: a solution composed of water and vinegar can undoubtedly be a good solution to restore the shine to the different types of taps, thus reducing bad floor odors to a minimum.

Last but not least, lemon, which contains part of citric acid, manages to provide a high disinfectant and stain-removing power, combined with the traditional aroma. A solution composed of lemon juice and demineralized water to be sprayed for cleaning the house is absolutely effective.
