{"id":4860,"date":"2024-03-07T23:19:40","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T23:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nanasadvice.com\/?p=4860"},"modified":"2024-03-07T23:19:41","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T23:19:41","slug":"this-is-the-only-way-to-remove-pesticides-from-strawberries-but-we-are-all-wrong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nanasadvice.com\/?p=4860","title":{"rendered":"This is the only way to remove pesticides from strawberries, but we are all wrong!\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/recetasconthermo.com\/humix\/video\/fjt-2PbOtXf\">Madrid stew soup<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This is the only way to remove pesticides from strawberries, but we are all wrong!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I do this to wash the strawberries and get rid of the pesticides<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also this year, the Dirty Dozen, the terrible dozen, was published:&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;EWG<\/strong>&nbsp;, an acronym for Environmental Working Group, an American non-profit organization active in protecting the environment,&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;has developed the ranking of fruits and vegetables to determine the amount of pesticides present.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fresas<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;won the gold medal and&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>took first place in the dirty dozen 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;.&nbsp;Unfortunately, if they come from traditional and non-organic crops, they are treated with chemical additives, which by their very nature tend to absorb like sponges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, we must consider that they do not have a protective skin, therefore, nothing protects them from the attack of parasites or toxic substances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it is not possible to give them up: they contain&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>potassium, manganese, folic acid, vitamin&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>C<\/strong>&nbsp;, antioxidants that are very useful for heart and skin health.&nbsp;In short, they are a panacea for the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is only one solution: wash them well!&nbsp;Sure!&nbsp;But how can you be sure that you have removed all the contaminating waste?&nbsp;Shall we explain it to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I do this to wash the strawberries and get rid of the pesticides<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Always wash strawberries before consuming them.&nbsp;Don&#8217;t do it in advance!&nbsp;Even if you dry them very well, humidity accelerates their rot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, there are at least 3&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>procedures to remove pesticides where they are present<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;(we can only be sure of their absence by buying organic products or growing them ourselves!),&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;There are at least &lt;&gt;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first involves the use of&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>water<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;and&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>salt:<\/strong>&nbsp;dissolve a teaspoon in a warm cup and let it cool completely, then soak the strawberries for two minutes and then rinse them under running water.&nbsp;This solution also allows you to get rid of mosquitoes and insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that&#8217;s not the only way: you can also make a mixture of&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>red wine<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;and&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>vinegar.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;Dilute a glass of water in two and let them decant for about ten minutes.&nbsp;The slightly alcoholic acid solution will completely avoid the presence of toxic substances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, there is also a method to wash strawberries with water and&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>baking soda:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;one tablespoon is enough for each liter of&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>water<\/strong>&nbsp;.&nbsp;Place the fruit in a bowl and let it rest for about 15 minutes.&nbsp;Then rinse them one by one and remove the stem only once dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that none of these operations are a waste of time, but rather an investment in health!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Madrid stew soup This is the only way to remove pesticides from strawberries, but we are all wrong!
