Contaminated rice withdrawn from the market: correction by the manufacturing company is published. <\/strong>Rice \u2013 Nanopress.it<\/p>\n\n\n\n With reference to the article published on the Nanopress.it website, dated 25 January 2023, we publish the Corrigendum in our newspaper – pursuant to art. 8 L. n. 47\/1948 \u2013 on behalf of Curti srl, a company producing the rice subject to the recall due to the possible presence of tricyclazole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In recent weeks, some press outlets have published news of recalls and withdrawals of our batches of Vialone Nano rice operated by Curti Srl due to the possible presence of tricyclazole. Considering that the alert issued by the Authorities originates precisely from the report made by Curti Srl to the outcome of the quality control activity systematically carried out by it – a control activity whose usefulness and effectiveness is unequivocally confirmed by the episode in question – and that , even before any prescription from the Authority, even at the risk of the outcry that could result, Curti Srl immediately started the voluntary precautionary withdrawal activity of the distributed lots.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Contaminated rice withdrawn from the market: correction by the manufacturing company is published. Since some of the published articles appear inaccurate while others may cause alarm, Curti Srl deems it appropriate to specify:
\u2013 As part of the “Monitoring Plan” self-control activity systematically
carried out on raw materials and finished products, the reference analysis carried out by an
accredited laboratory detected the presence of
tricyclazole on some lots of Vialone Nano rice;
\u2013 Having had the availability of the analyses, and thanks to the tracking\/traceability system of each individual batch with which the company is equipped, verified that a part of the batches had already been
delivered for distribution, as a precaution and to absolutely guarantee safety
consumer food, Curti Srl voluntarily carried out the relevant recalls
and withdrawals from the market and at the same time informed the competent authorities to start the
alert and control activities;
\u2013 At the same time, since the possible presence of tricyclazole depends exclusively on its
use in the rice cultivation phase by the farmer, Curti Srl
immediately reported the circumstance to the supplier of the Vialone Nano paddy lots from
which the subject rice was obtained of the voluntary withdrawal and recall, launching the
consequent initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
