This plant  blooms between summer and autumn<\/strong>  and is colored with  many small, brightly colored flowers<\/strong>  . Excellent for planting in the garden, or for decorating outdoors and beautifying them even more, bougainvillea is easy to  reproduce by cuttings, that is, from branches<\/strong>  .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To obtain certain results and have an infinite propagation of the plant, nurserymen use the so-called  banana method<\/strong>  , a trick that allows everyone to reproduce the plant in a very simple way. But what is it for? And how to carry out the procedure? Here’s all the information you need to pull off  the banana trick and propagate bougainvillea endlessly!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is needed to propagate bougainvillea branches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To obtain the propagation of Bougainvillea branches  you need things that are easy to find<\/strong>  , here are them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • A banana<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • a hacksaw<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A clear plastic cup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A bag and a plastic band.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A pair of pruning shears<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • some dirt<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A pot with soil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Procedure to reproduce Bougainvillea<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Carrying out the procedure to  obtain infinite Bougainvillea plants is quite simple<\/strong>  , just follow the instructions step by step. That is how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Locate a  mature branch of the plant<\/strong>  and make  a hacksaw incision about 4 cm long<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Remove the leaves to have the branch free.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cut  a round banana<\/strong>  and with all the peel put it in the middle of the incision<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Open the plastic cup<\/strong>  on one side only, make  a hole in the center<\/strong>  and place it over the engraved branch,  making it close around it.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Fill the glass with soil, making sure it is well moistened and the bottom fills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Complete the operation  by adding soil to the mouth<\/strong>  , making it adhere to the branch by pressing with your hands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      At this point, take a black plastic bag and wrap it around the glass, then secure it with a clamp. Wait a month, then remove the zip tie and plastic bag. As you can see from the clear glass,  the roots will have sprouted<\/strong>  and therefore all you have to do is cut the branch and plant it in a vase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to plant the boungavillea branch in the pot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Completely remove the plastic cup and after preparing a medium-sized pot, with  well-drained soil inside<\/strong>  , place  the root ball in the center<\/strong>  . Place it well and let the potting soil adhere around it. Lastly,  water the soil<\/strong>  and you will see that your bougainvillea plant will thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      To obtain excellent results, use some tricks that will be useful to have beautiful plants in a short time. For example, make sure scissors are sharp and disinfected<\/strong>  when cutting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
